Why Prenatal Massage?
Prenatal Massage assists women with adapting to the changes in their structure and new physical demands. Aside from this focus, the prenatal massage is similar to other massage sessions, but our therapists use a large pregnancy pillow. The pregnancy pillow is designed to allow women to rest comfortably face down without putting any pressure on their tummy. After not being able to rest on their stomach for so long, many of our patients are thrilled to get to do so.
At Austin Community Wellness, all considerations for the safety and health of the mother and her baby are addressed in prenatal massage.

Prenatal Massage Explained
Prenatal Massage is a therapeutic bodywork that is designed to address the unique needs of pre and postpartum pregnancies. It assists the patient with adapting to changes in their structure and new physical and mental demands. Aside from this focus, the Prenatal Massage is very much like other massages thanks to the pregnancy pillow that is used.
The pregnancy pillow is designed to allow the pregnant parent to to rest comfortably face down without putting any pressure on the tummy. After not being able to lay on their stomach for so long, most of our pregnant patients are thrilled to do so. At Austin Community Wellness, all considerations for the safety and health of the parent and baby have been addressed in these sessions.
Prenatal Massage is a great complementary treatment to any expecting parent that is receiving the Chiropractic Webster Technique. When these therapies are used in conjunction, the results are more profound. We recommend receiving both therapies, but Prenatal Massage alone is a great drug-free way to alleviate the common discomforts of pre and postpartum patients.
Pre and Postnatal Massage also offers physiological benefits due to its ability to cue the body to balance its hormones and increase circulation.
